Horatio Francis Ives (January 17, 1909 – October 20, 1963) was an Azanian politician serving who served as the 15th president of Azania from 1961 until his death in 1963. A member of the Federalist Party, Ives' term was almost entirely preoccupied with the beginning of Great War II and the consequences of Azania's nuclear weapons program, which had begun under his predecessor, Rollace Williams. His attempts to rebuilding the political influence of the increasingly weakening and scandal-prone Federalist Party, as well attempts to resolve as the worsening economic crisis within Azania caused by the Great War, dominated the brief two and a half year long presidency of Ives. It has been frequently hypothesized that the stress of the war and failure to stem party infighting lead to Ives' untimely death from an intracranial aneurysm in 1963, which was no doubt aided by his infamous alcoholism and chronic smoking habits.
