Usage[edit]
Basic[edit]
{{Sports rivalry series table | team1 = | team1style = | team2 = | team2style = | <!-- Date 1 --> | <!-- Location 1 --> | <!-- Winner 1 --> | <!-- Win Score 1 --> | <!-- Loser 1 --> | <!-- Loser Score 1 --> | <!-- Date 2 --> | <!-- Location 2 --> | <!-- Winner 2 --> | <!-- Win Score 2 --> | <!-- Loser 2 --> | <!-- Loser Score 2 --> }}
Compact[edit]
{{Sports rivalry series table | format = compact | team1 = | team1style = | team2 = | team2style = | <!-- Date 1 --> | <!-- Location 1 --> | <!-- Winner 1 --> | <!-- Win Score 1 --> | <!-- Loser 1 --> | <!-- Loser Score 1 --> | <!-- Date 2 --> | <!-- Location 2 --> | <!-- Winner 2 --> | <!-- Win Score 2 --> | <!-- Loser 2 --> | <!-- Loser Score 2 --> }}
Compact no location[edit]
{{Sports rivalry series table | format = compact | no_location = true | team1 = | team1style = | team2 = | team2style = | <!-- Date 1 --> | <!-- Winner 1 --> | <!-- Win Score 1 --> | <!-- Loser 1 --> | <!-- Loser Score 1 --> | <!-- Date 2 --> | <!-- Winner 2 --> | <!-- Win Score 2 --> | <!-- Loser 2 --> | <!-- Loser Score 2 --> }}
Compact score[edit]
{{Sports rivalry series table | format = compact score | team1 = | team1style = | team2 = | team2style = | <!-- Date 1 --> | <!-- Location 1 --> | <!-- Winner 1 --> | <!-- Win Score 1 --> | <!-- Loser 1 --> | <!-- Loser Score 1 --> | <!-- Date 2 --> | <!-- Location 2 --> | <!-- Winner 2 --> | <!-- Win Score 2 --> | <!-- Loser 2 --> | <!-- Loser Score 2 --> }}
Splitting a table over multiple sections[edit]
When splitting the table over multiple sections, you will want to change the starting count for the wins for team1, wins for team2, and ties for the subsequent tables.
| team1win_start = | team2win_start = | tie_start =
Changing the heading text[edit]
The default format assumes that the winning team and score is listed first, followed by the losing team and score. For other formats (like home/visitor or team1/team2) you can override the column headings with
| header1 = | header2 =
Multicolumn[edit]
To automatically split the table into two (or more) floating columns, use
| cols = 2
Sortable[edit]
To make the columns sortable, use |sortable=y
.
Summary statistics[edit]
By default the table will include a running summary of the series in the last column. To suppress this and include a final series summary instead, use
| series_summary = yes
Legend[edit]
By default the table will include a legend at the top. To suppress this, use
| legend = no
By default the third column in the legend is "Tie games", to change this text, use
| legend_tie_text = Tie games / Vacated wins
to add "Vacated wins" or
| legend_tie_text =
to remove the third column entirely.
Trophy series[edit]
To add an extra column with the running totals for a "trophy series", use
| trophy_series_start =
and/or
| trophy_series_end =
with the game numbers for the start and end of the trophy series.
Notes[edit]
To append a note as the last row in the table, use
| note =
To add a footnote to the series summary, use
| footnote =
Additional column[edit]
To add an additional column of information (e.g., game notes or attendance) use
| notes = yes
and override the default column heading with
| notes_label =
Vacated wins[edit]
Depending on the rules, a vacated win may be accounted as either (a) no winner, or (b) reversal of the winner/score. To void the results of a game, assigning no winner, use
| win123 = none
where 123
is the game number in the series. To reverse/change the winner for a game use
| win123 = teamname
where 123
is the game number and teamname
is the name of the recorded winner of the game.
