Template:American football uniform
This template allows stylized uniforms like those found with Template:Football kit. Editors can customize colors and patterns of uniforms. The elements of the uniform include:
- Helmet
- Jersey
- Sleeves
- Body
- Pants

Example away uniform Edit
{{American football uniform | pattern_h =_af | pattern_la = | pattern_b =_af_numbersonwhite | pattern_ra = | pattern_p = | pattern_s = | helmet =990000 | leftarm =FFFFFF | body =990000 | rightarm =FFFFFF | pants =FFFFFF | socks =181818 | title =Away }}
American football patterns Edit
To create new patterns, add images as shown below.
Helmets Edit
At this time, it is easiest if helmets only show main colors. Currently, the main helmet color (indicated by the helmet parameter, matches the facemask color.
Jerseys Edit
Jerseys are made up of two components: arms and body. Arms are a pair of images, in the form kit_leftarm_af_descriptor, where descriptor is something like "bluestripes," for example.
Sleeves/arms Edit
Body Edit
Jersey bodies should remain simple.
Pants Edit
Pants should also remain simple. There are some ideas at Template:Baseball uniform that may be useful, however (e.g., colored belts).
