Vhenaiti (Vhenaitian: Vhena'iti; Tene: Neke'a), officially the Kingdom of Vhenaiti (Vhenatian: Vhena Rakatiratankata Vhena'iti; Tene: Kuninke'a Neke'a) is a sovereign island nation located in the northern Pacific Ocean. The country, located entirely within an volcanic archipelago of the same name, is comprised of 27 islands.

Vhenaiti was first inhabited by Melanesian Motu settlers who arrived from Papua New Guinea. Later, several waves of Athabaskan-speaking peoples arrived from the Pacific coast of North America and southern Alaska and settled the northeastern portions of the archipelago. They were later joined by Polynesian settlers from the Marquesas Islands. The Polynesians settled and intermixed with both the Melanesians and Athabaskan-speaking peoples, which would eventually lead to the ethnogenesis of the modern Vhenaiti people. The first Europeans and Asians to arrive in the archipelago were Dutch sailors and Japanese soldiers that were part of a Dutch East India Company expedition. The company would claim the archipelago and name it New Batavia.

After the collapse of the Dutch East India Company in 1799, the government of the Netherlands nationalized the colony until the end of the Napoleonic Wars in 1815, when it was formally ceded to Great Britain. British colonization brought settlers from the Indian subcontinent, Sri Lanka, and southeastern China. It was ruled by Great Britain as a crown colony until its independence in 1953. Since independence, the country has joined the United Nations and the Pacific Islands Forum. It is a regional power and the third wealthiest country in Oceania.
